UTEP will take its second public step toward a basketball season Sunday afternoon.
The Miners will host Southeastern Oklahoma State at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Don Haskins Center — an exhibition basketball game and a second test in preparation for the rapidly oncoming season.
The Miners began practicing in early October and played their annual Orange-White exhibition game (step one) last Saturday afternoon (Oct. 22).
And now comes step two.
The Savage Storm was 11-17 last season and returns eight players — including three of their top four scorers. The Miners, though, are more worried about the Miners in situations like this, at this juncture of the training schedule.
