The list of what the UTEP football team got accomplished Saturday in a 37-10 loss to UAB Saturday is short.
On a day when the Miners didn't look ready to play and mostly collapsed on defense against an undistinguished offense, they appeared to get one thing accomplished.
By going with Gavin Hardison at quarterback, they picked a direction.
To be sure, Hardison did plenty wrong in the lopsided loss, playing against the best defense in Conference USA dictated as much. He was 16-of-37 passing and part of that was misfires.
