Will the glass slipper fit?
UTEP is on a magical run, trying to turn early season disaster into a Cinderella season. And now these Cinderella Miners meet Old Dominion at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Don Haskins Center in a pivotal Conference USA game.
The two teams are level at 11-5 in the conference chase and Thursday night's winner will clinch third place. The top four teams in the final regular season standings will earn a first-round bye in next week's Conference USA Tournament in Birmingham, Ala.
Thursday's game will not be the final determination as to whether that glass slipper fits for the Miners.
