UTEP will snap an 11-day break for final exams with a rare afternoon game Sunday, a 1 p.m. affair with UC-Riverside in the Don Haskins Center.
UTEP, 3-5, will try to take another step toward leveling its record but, more importantly, will try to take another step toward becoming a better basketball team.
UC-Riverside, 3-7 under first-year head coach David Patrick, is coming off a 75-71 win over Pepperdine on Dec. 6.
The Miners have only three games remaining in December, just three games remaining before opening Conference USA play Jan. 3 at UTSA. The Miners will take on Norfolk State on Dec.
