Quadraiz Wadley was going to nail down that position, and the senior represented pretty much the extent of the Miners' star power on that side of the ball.
Then he was injured, had surgery, is taking a redshirt and UTEP is searching for a Plan B.
Exactly what that will look like pops to the front of the to-do queue, proof that in contact sports there always has to be contingencies.
