Everyone on the UTEP football team took a long journey to reach Friday's spring game, but tailback Quardraiz Wadley's road was the longest.
Expected to be a senior star in 2019, he missed the season because of a toe injury shortly before the opener. Expected to be a senior star last season, he tried to play one game, couldn't meet his expectations because of an injury and then opted out.
A third-teamer this spring, Wadley still has an uphill climb in front of him, but he took a big first step in a welcome-back moment.
