The UTEP Miners football team practiced Friday at Del Valle High School in the Ysleta Independent School District.
The team's practice at the Lower Valley school at 950 Bordeaux Drive gave the Miners an opportunity for community outreach.
The Miners begin play Aug. 31 against Houston Baptist in Sun Bowl Stadium. Conference USA competition begins Sept. 28 against Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg.
The Battle of I-10 game against New Mexico State will be Nov. 23 in Las Cruces.
