The UTEP women’s basketball team finds itself in a loftier, nicer place as it looks to build on success Thursday at North Texas.
The Miners' Conference USA-opening win against UTSA has them with that unblemished 1-0 league record, but most importantly, they started to find some things that can make them better than their 4-10 overall record would indicate.
Most tangibly, Alexa Hoy, who was averaging 4.2 points per game and had 17 points in the previous seven games combined, poured in 22 points.
