The UTEP men's basketball team's biggest problem through the 2019-20 season was outside shooting.
The Miners made a move to address that with the signing of 6-foot-5 guard Adam Hess from a Salt Lake Community College team that went 29-4 last season.
"I like to think I'm the best shooter on the country," said Hess, who shot 41.6% from 3-point range last year when he averaged 7.
