The UTEP men's basketball team continues to struggle on the road in Conference USA.
On Saturday in Birmingham, Alabama, the Miners fell 75-60 to UAB and saw its record fall to 1-6 in league games away from the Don Haskins Center. The Miners have lost five straight on the road and drop to 8-10 overall and 4-8 in CUSA.
UAB, which is the best team in the league, won its sixth straight game and is 16-2 overall and 9-1 in conference play.
The Blazers won the first game of the two-game series, 63-51, on Friday.
UAB strong in second half
The Blazers outscored the Miners 43-26 in the second half and on two different runs made seven of nine and five of seven from the field.
