Even before they lost two point guards to transfer, the UTEP men's basketball team figured to be in the market for backcourt help.
According to reports, the Miners are pursuing transfer guard Jamal Bieniemy from Oklahoma and Jeremiah Francis from North Carolina to fill that need, though potentially both would have to sit out a season if they aren't granted a waiver from their schools.
Per NCAA rules enacted in the coronavirus lockdown, there are no on campus visits through May 31 and coaches aren't allowed to travel to recruit.
