In the aftermath of an emotional loss to Middle Tennessee in the Conference USA tournament quarterfinals, UTEP men's basketball coach Joe Golding sounded like he was more eager to go recruiting than coach a basketball game this week.
Ultimately, though, he asked his players what they thought, and Tuesday's The Basketball Classic game against Western Illinois shook out from there.
Through an end-of-season charge, Golding talked about the relationships his team was building, and that family wanted more chances to take the court together. They get that at 5 p.m. Tuesday and fans can watch them for the price of a discounted $10 ticket.
