The UTEP men's basketball team continued the process of replenishing its roster by receiving a commitment from a player they have some familiarity with: Southern Miss transfer Tae Hardy.
He announced his decision on Instagram.
The senior-to-be missed most of last season with a shoulder injury but averaged 13.7 points in seven games. Hardy averaged 11.0 points in 2020-21 when he started 22 games. He began his career at East Carolina in 2018, playing there one year before transferring to Southern Miss.
He joins New Mexico State transfer Mario McKinney Jr. as offseason pick-ups that will help replenish a roster that has seen seven players with eligibility leave the program since the end of the season.
