The UTEP men's basketball season came to an end on Saturday night on the road with a 48-47 loss at Middle Tennessee.
The Miners, who never led in Saturday's game, had two chances late to win the game but a Jordan Lathon jumper was off the mark and after the Blue Raiders missed two free throws, the Miners got the ball back with one second left but never got a shot off.
UTEP pulled within 48-47 with under a minute left in the game when Nigel Hawkins completed an old-fashioned three-point play.
