There was always a feeling that even in a Conference USA full of instant turnarounds, UTEP’s path back to respectability was going to take a while.
Such was the state of the program that Dana Dimel inherited two years ago.
After a second consecutive 1-11 season ended with a 30-16 loss to fellow rebuilder Rice, Dimel touted the strides he feels his program has made in terms of upgrading the talent, setting a foundation and improving on offense.
