For big stretches of spring camp, UTEP's offense has turned itself into one of the best push-ups and up-down teams in America. That's the penalty for a mental mistake, so that's not a good thing.
But when the Miners have gotten into scrimmage mode, when the stakes have gone up and practice has turned into a game simulation, the new-look offense, the focus of all improvement, has been able to find a new gear.
