UTEP hires two new football assistants, promotes two others

UTEP's Dana Dimel discusses his latest recruiting class Wochit

The UTEP football team's offseason coaching shakeup was fairly minimal for a 1-11 team, as two coaches departed, two hired and two promoted.

The biggest change comes in the secondary, where Josh Brown, a 20-year coaching veteran who was the safeties coach at Nevada last year, takes over as safeties coach while former NFL player Trevin Wade takes over the cornerbacks.

They take the place of cornerbacks coach Keith Burns, who has been moved to director of recruiting and director of player personnel, and safeties coach Remington Rebstock, who took a position on the new staff at Old Dominion.
