The UTEP men's basketball team suffered its first personnel loss of the year, as sophomore guard Nigel Hawkins has entered the transfer portal.
The first guard off the bench, Hawkins was averaging 3.8 points and 16 minutes per game this season, but had several big games, including a 12-point, 8-assist, 6-rebound outing against East Central. He scored nine points at Houston last week.
