UTEP graduate Charles Corner will step onto the first tee Friday morning, take a deep breath and remind himself of a simple thought: It is just golf.
Corner, who graduated from UTEP May 12 with a degree in finance, will tee off at 8:12 MDT Friday at the Karsten Creek Golf Course in Stillwater, Okla., in the opening round of college golf's grandest gala — the NCAA Championships.
"I'm super excited," said Corner, who was a two-time second team All-Conference USA golfer for the Miners. "This means a lot to me and to us as a program.
