For the first time in at least a decade, UTEP cancelled a game-week football practice Tuesday, and says its game at UTSA Saturday is a go.
UTEP is saying the decision was made Monday night and that the team will resume practice Wednesday.
This marks the first time in at least 10 years, a UTEP game-week practice was cancelled.
Three of the Miners' last four games have been either postponed or cancelled because of COVID-related issues with their opponent, and UTEP started UTSA-specific preparations last Wednesday.
UTSA is coming off a postponement against Rice because of positive COVID tests and contact-tracing quarantines.
