The UTEP football team entered the spring with a roster full of veterans, that’s the way of spring when most of the fresh faces haven't arrived, but with new systems on each side of the ball, in a sense everyone's a rookie.
The next 14 practices, then, gave a good idea of learning curves heading into Friday's spring game, and three players who stood out were junior nosetackle Chris Richardson, senior safety Kahani Smith and senior receiver Warren Redix.
