Earlier today multiple sources implicated that former Arizona defensive coordinator Jeff Casteel had been offered and was expected to be announced as UTEP's new defensive coordinator tomorrow.
But Casteel will not be announced tomorrow as previously expected.
As of now, there is no knowledge of why or what caused the break down in the reported offer, or if Casteel was even offered despite a report from always reliable FootballScoop.com that confirmed Casteel had been offered.
Surely an offer was at least made to Casteel via the Football Scoop report, but UTEP will announce their new defensive coordinator tomorrow.
