UTEP looked to break their losing streak against NMSU Saturday but the streak continues after a 27-10 loss at the Sun Bowl. Mark R Lambie, El Paso Times
UTEP's struggles the last year and a half were so profound, it became easy to overlook a rather obvious point.
When the Miners do finally get in a position to win, they don't know how.
That issue only popped up once last year, the 15-14 loss to Western Kentucky when they gave up a two-point conversion and missed three field goals, it popped up again in Saturday's 27-20 loss to New Mexico State, and if UTEP continues to improve, it could pop up more and more.
