There were rumbles that it was going to happen, and on Thursday it pretty much became official according to Bret Bloomquist of the El Paso Times.
Former Kansas, and Florida tight end Kent Taylor is in Ruidoso prepping for the 2016 season as a Miner.
Taylor played in 11 games last season at Kansas, catching 15 passes for 179 yards, and a touchdown. Prior to his lone season at Kansas, Taylor spent two seasons at Florida playing as a true freshman in 2012 when Brent Pease ran Florida's offense under Will Muschamp.
Taylor hauled in a touchdown in the Sugar Bowl against Louisville in the 2012 season.
