UTEP running back Aaron Jones was due back in court on Wednesday morning, but instead on Tuesday accepted a pre-trial diversion program according to court documents obtained by KTSM TV.
A pre-trial hearing was scheduled for Wednesday morning according to El Paso County Court online records but the matter was resolved Tuesday after his February 10th DWI arrest by El Paso County Sheriff Deputies which occurred close to the UTEP campus according to court documents.
The diversion program is a similar form of probation, and Jones will have the case dismissed once he successfully completes the program which includes rehab, community service, and reporting to a probation office for urine and breath analysis.
