UTEP men's basketball coach Joe Golding's five-year contract worth up to $700,000 per year was approved by the University of Texas System Board of Regents and women's coach Kevin Baker was rewarded with a two-year extension, the school announced Thursday.
Golding, who was hired four months ago, has a contract that will pay him a base salary of $400,000 with a $300,000 provision for speaking engagements and coaches shows. Baker was extended through the 2024 season after leading UTEP to a second-place finish in its division and a semifinal berth in the Conference USA tournament.
