FRISCO — There was no rewrite at the Conference USA basketball tournament for the UTEP women's basketball team.
The same problems that plagued them all season, poor shooting and an inability to make key stops in big moments led to a 58-57 overtime loss to last-place UTSA that ended the Miners' season.
UTEP led most of the game after an early 17-1 run, but didn't make a field goal in the second quarter, fell behind by the middle of the fourth quarter and couldn't find enough offense late as the Miners dropped to 14-15 on the season.
