UTEP shook off a pesky first half challenge from UT-Permian Basin and then romped home with a 90-63 victory in front of a small gathering of 4,227 in the Don Haskins Center to open the 2018-19 basketball season.
For Terry, it was his first game as the 19th UTEP basketball coach and it was also his first win as the Miner coach.
