Arizona ran past UTEP 79-46 on Wednesday night in the McKale Center in Tucson, holding the Miners without a field goal in the final 6:14 of play.
The Wildcats improved to 3-0 with their third-straight home win of the season. The Miners dropped to 1-2 on the young season.
UTEP fell behind 8-0 in the first 3:30 of this game and never led. The Miners did close the gap to 5 points, 23-18, after a Kobe Magee 3-pointer late in the first half. But Arizona took a 34-23 lead to the intermission.
