Just in time for the Conference USA basketball tournament, the feeling around the UTEP men's basketball team has changed.
The frustrating inconsistency has been replaced by a run of good basketball that included four consecutive wins and the last-minute loss at No. 14 Kansas.
If UTEP can play like it did for the first 39 minutes at Kansas, starting Wednesday against Florida Atlantic, the Miners can make a run and they begin the single-elimination portion of their season knowing that.
"We're definitely playing our best basketball we've played this season," forward Tydus Verhoeven said.
