The strangeness of the 2020 college football season shows up in all sorts of places, and to demonstrate that, UTEP announced its 2021 early signing class Wednesday: quarterback Kevin Hurley from Northeast Mississippi Community College.
The class that starts arriving for the winter semester will be bigger and the entirety of the signing class after February's national signing day could approach a more normal size, but at the moment the Miners have six scholarships to offer and one went to the dual-threat Hurley.
Coach Dana Dimel said UTEP has another high school commitment (Missouri City Hightower quarterback Jakolby Longino) set to sign in February and several other high school commits he also expects to sign then.
