UNT football can show UTEP path to turnaround, but probably not this week

The question to North Texas coach Seth Littrell is obvious, and from a UTEP perspective, quite pertinent.

How, in two and a half years, does a college football program go from the worst in the country, to mediocre, to good, to one of the best non-power-conference teams in America?

How does a team dig out of that 1-11, lose-at-home-to-UTEP hole the Mean Green were in in 2015 to their current 4-1 record where they've outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points per game?

"It's culture and communication," said Littrell, the engineer of the turnaround who arrived at UNT in 2016 after a stint as an assistant at North Carolina.
