When Eric Tomlinson was offered the chance to sign with the New York Giants, he didn't hesitate.
The former UTEP tight end had some familiarity with the franchise after spending a month there at the start of last season. He knows people on the new coaching staff and knows the coronavirus pandemic, where New York is Ground Zero in the United States, will pass.
Tomlinson signed a free agent deal with the Giants on Saturday and will begin his sixth pro season whenever the current lockdown ends.
