This workout was up in the air until 6:45 a.m. and got off to a late start because Tuesday was deemed by the NCAA as a day of civic engagement.
Every NCAA athlete across America was supposed to get the day off, but UTEP, and it appears many football teams, including this week's opponent UTSA, applied for a waiver to the NCAA to allow the football team to practice.
Before practice, UTEP had a presentation to its football players on how to vote, then had speakers from child crisis centers come address the team.
