UTEP hits the road for the first time in 2020 when it takes on Texas at 6 p.m. Saturday at Darrel K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
The game will be televised on the Longhorn Network and broadcast on 600 ESPN El Paso.
This game was an originally scheduled non-conference game that survived the COVID-19 pandemic intact and the one the Miners most wanted to keep because of the $1.4 million payday that is a big part of UTEP's athletic budget. It was originally slated for Sept. 19 but was moved up a week.
As for travel, UTEP's routine will be like it always has been for a game at Texas, or anywhere not in driving distance.
