LUBBOCK — Texas Tech proved too much for UTEP to handle in a 38-3 win Saturday night at Jones AT&T Stadium.
Even though the Red Raiders offense struggled with consistency, it wore the Miners defense down throughout the game. Tech scored late in the third quarter and early in the fourth to put the game away.
Tech took its opening drive into the end zone on a 5-yard Ta'Zhawn Henry run, but gained 19 yards on nine plays as the next two drives ended with punts.
