AUSTIN — The UTEP football team's biggest hope as a massive underdog at Texas Saturday night was to take some positives away from Austin that could set them up for more winnable games ahead.
Aside from coming back with a big paycheck, the Miners didn't come close to accomplishing that in the embarrassing first half of a 59-3 loss.
From the game's first snap, a 78-yard pass from Sam Ehlinger to Joshua Moore that started Texas' season in promising fashion, UTEP looked overwhelmed by the speed of its opponent and never caught up until the Longhorn backups arrived.
