Sun Bowl Stadium received repairs through the week prior to Saturday’s season opener against New Mexico State.

Construction crews have been working for about a week to repair concrete in the east concourse of the stadium, University of Texas at El Paso officials said.

“The repairs are being made after a small piece of concrete fell,” the officials said. “Inspections have been administered to ensure the structural integrity of the stadium.”

The cause of the damage and the final cost of the repair have yet to be determined.

No ticket holders will be impacted by the repairs.
