After a lackluster start to the season, UTEP football team (2-5, 1-2 C-USA) found a key win against Conference USA (C-USA) opponent the Florida International (FIU) Panthers (3-4, C-USA 0-4) on the road Wednesday, Oct.11.
Coming off a gut-wrenching loss to LA Tech (3-5, C-USA 2-2) at home, the Miners took advantage of bye week and reassessed a number of its issues.
“You know, the start of the game was poor. We gave up really a big, big play that was just a bust from us defensively,” said UTEP Head Coach Dana Dimel prior to Wednesday’s matchup.
