Last Saturday against UAB, on a day when much of the UTEP defense looked lost, Stephen Forester played like a star.
Making the first start of what is now a five-year career for the Miners, the linebacker led the team in tackles with 11, he had a sack, he set an unofficial season best for a UTEP defensive player by winning 17 helmet decals.
That all looked so easy, which is so deceiving.
