A decision on suspended UTEP quarterback Kai Locksley will be made before the team leaves for training camp in Ruidoso, UTEP coach Dana Dimel says. Bret Bloomquist, Wochit
The UTEP Miners will know the status of suspended quarterback Kai Locksley before they break for training in Ruidoso on Sunday, and reading between the lines, he could be back in the mix sooner rather than later.
They open practice Friday with a light afternoon workout, and Locksley, who was arrested on four charges June 8, probably will not be part of that.
"Where we are with Kai, we're going to make a decision before we head to Ruidoso on what Kai's status will be and that will be released.
