Stanford receives festive Sun Bowl welcome

David Shaw has seen this dance before, he just didn't actually dance it.

The Stanford head coach was the Cardinal offensive coordinator in 2009 when he first experienced the renowned Hyundai Sun Bowl hospitality, the folklorico dancers and mariachi band that welcomes every team at the El Paso International Airport.

Back in 2009, he got to watch coach Jim Harbaugh put on a sombrero and twirl with the dancers as the team hooted. This Monday, Shaw was the man in the middle as his team arrived to take on North Carolina in Friday's game.

"I'm not a fan of dancing in front of people, but we enjoyed it," Shaw said after his team's arrival.
