Deion Hankins’ path to becoming the face of the UTEP football program hasn’t always been smooth.
He came to UTEP from Parkland High School carrying the huge expectations that come with being El Paso’s all-time leading high school rusher, the heir apparent to the throne of Aaron Jones.
He suffered a concussion as a true freshman, had a breakout redshirt freshman season in the COVID year where all the hype started coming true, then was injured again in 2021.
