Souley Boum began the year with much to prove before he could take his shot at the pros.
After a season where Boum improved dramatically on defense while emerging as a selfless team leader and a second-team. All-Conference USA player, he’s felt he’s ready. Boum took to twitter to announce his decision to go pro and offer thanks to the the El Paso community.
This came less than a day after three UTEP players, Christian Agnew, Jorell Saterfield and Emmanuel White joined the transfer portal and assistant Butch Pierre was hired by Wichita State.
Boum, who graduated from UTEP, is formally entering the transfer portal to maintain college eligibility if his pro prospects don’t materialize.
