An important fact to understand about the UTEP football team is that as bad as matters are — 0-4, rated 129th in the country by the computers, a 24-point underdog Saturday at Army — the players aren't quitting.
Take, for example, sophomore tailback Quardraiz Wadley.
Projected as the Miners' starter, the inheritor of Aaron Jones' throne, Wadley was given a pass off the boat in the spring when he injured his shoulder, had surgery and was declared out for the year. The only thing on his calendar this fall was riding a bike with the strength and conditioning staff.
