UTEP sophomore runner Michael Saruni continues to set World records as a Miner.
Saruni made another mark on Saturday afternoon, setting 2018’s sixth-fastest world time in the 400m with a 45.42 showing at the Don Kirby Tailwind Open in Albuquerque.
“This was an early season meet for us in terms of the team’s performance,” said UTEP head coach Mika Laaksonen in a release. “We are mid-way through the outdoor season and have a lot of work to do in a short amount of time before the conference championships.”
Saruni’s time currently ranks no. 1 collegiately. The All-American moves up to the no.
