Bret Bloomquist from the El Paso Times reports that UTEP has fired offensive coordinator Brent Pease.
UTEP has a number of struggles on both sides of the ball, but failed to rush for more than 40 yards in back-to-back weeks presumably leading to Pease’s firing after three weeks.
Pease was in his second year as UTEP’s offensive coordinator after stint at Washington working as a wide receivers coach.
Sources also indicate that it appears tight ends coach Brian Natkin will take over play calling duties. UTEP media relations have not confirmed either report.
