The UTEP men's basketball team may have addressed its biggest need, point guard, as CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein is reporting that 21-year-old Serbian Vuk Vulikic has committed to the Miners.
He will be eligible to play in the 2020 season.
The 6-foot-4 point guard helped lead Serbia to the gold medal at the 2017 U-18 European Championships and has been playing club basketball for Belgrade's KK Dynamic. He averaged 5.5 points and 3.1 assists as a part-time starter for the professional team in Serbia's top division last season.
"Had high-major interest," Rothstein tweeted.
His older brother Luka played for Eastern Washington.
