PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to hire Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Doug Pederson as head coach, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
No move could be made until the end of the season for the Chiefs, who will face the New England Patriots in the divisional round Saturday.
Philadelphia turned to Pederson after former New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin withdrew from consideration for the Eagles' opening, sources told Schefter.
The Eagles' interest in Pederson stems from his relationship with Andy Reid.
