This spring is mostly one of continuity for the UTEP football team, but there have been three staff changes and some reshuffling.
The most high-profile one is the promotion of Scotty Ohara, the wide receivers coach who first started coaching with Dana Dimel 17 years ago and has been on the UTEP staff since Dimel's arrival in 2018, to offensive coordinator/quarterbacks/wide receivers. He takes the place of Dave Warner, who retired after two seasons as offensive coordinator at UTEP.
Josh Brown, who spent last year in Hawaii and the two years before that as safeties coach for UTEP, is back as cornerbacks coach and defensive pass game coordinator.
